One of the most common questions we hear from potential clients is “How will I know what our project will cost?” The answer is that the vast majority of Mercury projects are performed for a fixed cost for a fixed scope of services. Only when the scope of services is impossible to predict are projects done under a time and materials basis.

Following a detailed project proposal, each new client is provided with a service agreement that covers the project’s scope of work and payment details as well as terms of engagement such as confidentiality and performance standards. While the service agreement specifies a fixed cost, the cost includes a range because of feature selections and details that identify themselves during development. Service fees are divided into multiple invoices which are delivered upon completion of agreed-upon milestones.
